All those lives and all those billions of dollars completely wasted. This boondoggle was started just so it would look like something was being done. Was it too much to ask that they pull out as soon as they figured out the situation was FUBAR? Was it too much to hope that something constructive come out of the SNAFU? The Iraqis had a president killing them, then a foreign invader, now other Iraqis, is it too much to ask that they catch a break?
